Joe Marcus, Director of Analytics at India Hicks, an upscale women’s lifestyle brand, had a ton of data coming his way from various sources. It was taking his team hours to manually consolidate their data and create a comprehensive overview. This manual process prevented the company from getting a consistent, real-time understanding of their data to make effective business decisions. But Joe was able to turn his manual, time-consuming weekly consolidation process into a daily, one-click process and increase the effectiveness of their business decisions.

Dreamfactory, a Rest API management platform needed to protect their customers’ sensitive data in their data stores. Initially Jason had used in-house scripts for this, but this was timely and difficult to scale. Jason used a combination of transformation layer to achieve this. Using Field Level Encryption, Jason now encrypts sensitive data fields such as customer addresses and phone numbers. Jason also needed a way to safely store IP addresses, but they did not want these to be encrypted, so instead they opted to remove the last octet using transformation functions.

Rebecca Weisbart, Director of BI at Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow's wellness and lifestyle company was hitting roadblocks with their current ETL solution. The solution they were using was a point platform that provided no transformation capabilities. Rebecca and her BI team did not have the technical resources to write their own ETL scripts with data transformations, so they went to market to see what their options were. With Xplenty, Rebecca and her ever growing BI team are able to make use of code-free data transformation layer to achieve all of their required transformations before the data to their data warehouse.

Satyam Krishna, Data Engineer at Grofers, struggled to consolidate data from platforms supporting different parts of the business - demand generation and supply chain. His team lacked the engineering know-how to transfer data between sources for timely, accurate analysis. Because of this, decision-makers lacked the rich insight they needed to proactively allocate warehouse resources, plan inventory, or understand how orders were moving from their warehouses to the customer’s doorstep. With streamlined and easy to manage new data integration, Satyam saves at least 480 hours of data engineering time every month: the equivalent of hiring four data engineers and he can deliver critical insights on time to make strategic decisions.
